At 26 months Old...
This lil fellow is really getting out of hand. He had made us so pissed off on many many occasions. His biggest weapon now is his tears but we make sure he knows that it does not get him anywhere.
Whenever u asked him to do something that he doesn't want, he will start to throw tantrum and cry. Its really gets on our nerves. We have even resorted to using the hanger to beat him. But I've made a mental note to hold back the beating and will give him warnings first. I will tell him what's going to happen if he doesn't stop his unreasonable behaviour.
On a separate note, he is very vocal now. He can say stuff that u least expected will come from him. Like the incident last nite whereby he made me so angry, I gave him the cold shoulder and refused to do what I normally do with him. He knows I'm angry and din dare to provoke me further but he said this before he sleeps : No hug Mummy, I so sad. Then he started to sit up and said: I want help Mummy put cover, I want help Mummy push bed. Of course I just brush him off by saying, you do it tomorrow and ask him to lie down and sleep.

He can talk back now
Last Fri while on the way home, Kayden wanted me to help him to turn on the 3G on Daddy's Iphone. Being not so savy, I was trying hard to figure which button to press, when my dear son suddenly said: Mummy so lousy, dunno how to on Iphone... I was so taken aback...that's what he view me as...how sad!
On Sat morning, I was getting him ready for our Zoo trip. When I asked him to put on his diaper, guess what he said? I big boy already, no need wear pamper... My boy has really grown up, he can "answer" me back now.

Pretty and Handsome??
Kayden gets a bit confussed over the usage of pretty and handsome. I think we have been using the word pretty too often that he will say he is pretty whenever we say someone else is pretty. BUT, we have finally managed to correct him and now he is able to differentiate. When he sees a woman/girl, he will say, who and who so pretty, followed by "I so handsome"... Recently when he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he tells me is: "I so handsome". Oh my, my boy is getting really vain.

How to reject him?
We are carrying out our cold turkey treatment again cos our previous mission failed when he fell sick last month. So we got to embark on the journey once more. After almost one week, he is carrying lesser for milk. BUT last nite, I'm not sure if he is changing his tactic, he came to me at 4am and told me that he wanted milk in a soft voice and say "a little bit only". So how to reject him?? I actually made the milk for him and he was so happy and giggling away. I better not repeat the same thing least he think I'm giving in to him again.
Settling well
Kayden is settling well to school life again. After all the crying on the first day, he was ok subsequently. He remembers his routine of taking off his own shoes and placing them in the pigeon hole and proceed to have his temperature taken and lastly to bring in his own bag. This time round, I have more things packed for him, i.e blanket(as it can be rather cold if it rains), long sleeve shirt in case he is cold. I wanted to be sure that he is fully geared. Ok I admit I'm one kaisu Mummy...But can't be help. Prevention is better than cure.
I asked him on his second day of school what he did in school, did he go outdoor and play? He told me he played with the car and the slide. My boy is now able to have a proper conversation with us. The one month at home, we also realised that he was able to speak more fluently. Perhaps the "influence" of jiejie is useful.

Back to School Again
After 1 month of break, kayden is back to school again. Daddy brought him to NTUC to get some biscuits to share with his friends hoping that he will be okie when he reaches school. But, he was wailing his lungs out when Daddy dropped him off. His friend was quite sweet to get him a chair to sit. At least they still remembered him. Kids are just so adorable.

Change of Plan
After about 3 weeks break at home, Kayden was getting bored. When asked if he wants to go back to school, he says "Yes". Actually we brought him to view this centre, "My First Skool" last Fri cos that was part of our plan to change school. But after viewing, when we asked him if he want to study there, his response was "No" so I asked him, "how about Sunflower?" and he says "yes". So I think even at 2, he does have his own preference and also he has his friends at sunflower.
Our initial plan was to keep him at home till end of this year and let him return to school for his N1 education. But since he is so keen to be back in school, we decided to bring forward the whole thing. Beginning of this week, I called up Sunflower and told them that we intend to let him continue and see how things pregress. The principal was very kind to acceed to my request of paying for half a month for Sep since he was not attending school for the 1st 2 weeks. So our lil boy will be back in school again this coming Mon but only for half day instead of full day this month cos we wanted him to take it slow.

Yu Guo
After taking western medicine on off for about 3 weeks and still not much improvement, we have decided to try TCM instead. Hopefully the Chinese medicine will work better for him. We brought him to Yu Guo this morning and was told that his bronchitis was pretty serious. He was given Tui Na and some oral medication. After the session, I can see that he was much more active and am so glad that his fever is coming down without the paracetamol. We will have to bring him back for the next 2 days to continue with his treatment. Hopefully this time round he will recover fully and be strong again.
All for his Health
After much consideration, we have decided to pull Kayden out of Childcare cos just this month alone, he was down with fever for 3 times...and is now resting and nursing his health at home. Furthmore the PD also advised us to not "tramatise" him further. Hence the decision.
We will be sourcing for another centre which is non aircondition or perhaps look for those few hours playgroup option. But we will not let him start so soon...Maybe let him have a few months break before we start again.
